PM Modi Slams Opposition Over Women's Reservation Bill, Apologizes to Nari Shakti

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation on Saturday regarding the issue of women's reservation, beginning his speech by seeking an apology from the women of the country. The PM stated that he had come to speak to his sisters and daughters, noting that every citizen is witnessing how the flight of India's 'Nari Shakti' has been halted and their dreams crushed, while he expressed regret that despite strenuous efforts, the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam couldn't be passed in Parliament, for which he sought forgiveness from all mothers and sisters.

Sharp Attack on Opposition Parties

During his address, the Prime Minister targeted the Congress, DMK, TMC, and Samajwadi Party (SP). He remarked that while they might not have secured the 66 percent votes required to pass the bill, the blessings of 100 percent of the country's women are with them. The PM assured every woman in the country that he would eliminate every obstacle in the way of women's reservation. He emphasized that parties opposing the bill wouldn't be able to stop women from increasing their participation in Parliament and state assemblies.
