Funds are being raised for Ukraine, which is at war with Russia for about two and a half months. In this connection, the jacket of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky was auctioned in London. This woolen jacket bearing his signature was sold on Thursday for 90 thousand pounds or 11.11 million dollars (Rs 8,54,9,285).

On February 24, when Russia invaded Ukraine, Zelensky was seen walking the streets of the capital Kyiv wearing the same jacket in the early days of the war. Ukraine's embassy in London released a video on Twitter saying that when the war broke out, the world did not believe that Ukraine would be able to withstand more than three days of war, but it has held the ground for a long time. Then the whole world saw Zelensky walking around Kyiv wearing a simple jacket and today the rarest item is on display here for auction.

According to the London embassy of Ukraine, this donation campaign is being run under the name 'Brave Ukraine'. During this, stories of bravery of Ukraine are being told. Through them, donations are being raised for the country devastated by the war.

Toys donated by Ukraine's First Lady Olena Zelensky and photographs of the late photographer Max Levin at the Tate Modern Art Gallery in London were also auctioned in the fundraising campaign. As part of the campaign, more than $1 million was raised for humanitarian aid in Ukraine. The money will be used exclusively for re-arranging equipment at the Special Children's Hospital in Western Ukraine.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson also joined the donation campaign. During this time, Zelensky was praised as one of the outstanding leaders of modern times. Johnson reiterated Britain's support for Ukraine. He said that we will continue to help Ukraine.
