PM Modi News: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a visit to Jammu today on 20th February. PM Narendra Modi has distributed appointment orders to new government employees of Jammu and Kashmir. Today the PM has distributed appointment orders to about 1500 new government recruits. During this visit, PM also laid the foundation stone of several development projects worth more than Rs 30,500 crore. According to the PMO, apart from several other major projects, PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of several projects worth about Rs 13,375 crore in the education sector, with IIT Bhilai, IIT Tirupati, IIT Jammu, IIITDM Kurnool among the projects dedicated to the nation.

20 Kendriya Vidyalaya and 13 Navodaya Vidyalaya buildings also inaugurated

Also the Indian Institute of Skills (IIS), a pioneer skill training institute based on advanced technology, located in Kanpur; and 2 campuses of Central Sanskrit University at Devprayag (Uttarakhand) and Agartala (Tripura). At the same time, PM will also inaugurate 3 new IIMs in the country i.e. IIM Jammu, IIM Bodh Gaya and IIM Visakhapatnam. He also inaugurated 20 new buildings for Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) and 13 new Navodaya Vidyalaya (NV) buildings across the country.

AIIMS also inaugurated

Apart from this, the foundation stone of 5 other Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) campuses, one Navodaya Vidyalaya (NV) campus and five multipurpose halls for Navodaya Vidyalayas across the country were also inaugurated by the Prime Minister. The PMO has further said that these newly constructed KV and NV buildings will play an important role in meeting the educational needs of students across the country. Additionally, Modi also inaugurated the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Vijaypur (Samba), Jammu, the foundation stone of which was also laid by the Prime Minister in February 2019.
