A complaint has been filed against principal of a school in UP's Mirzapur after a picture showed him hanging a five-year-old student upside down from the school balcony. Police said the principal has been detained and is being questioned. "My son...was being a little naughty. For this, the principal meted out such a punishment," the boy's father said.

Mirzapur: A picture of a school principal in UP's Mirzapur hanging a student upside down from the school’s balcony has surfaced online.

Five-year-old Sonu is a student of Class nursery. He was allegedly caught doing some mischief because of which the principal in order to punish him hanged him upside down.

A complaint has been filed against the principal after the picture went viral.

"My son...was being a little naughty. For this, the principal meted out such a punishment," the boy's father said.

Police are investigating into the matter.
