IPL 2023: Punjab Kings on Wednesday included young all-rounder Gurnoor Singh Brar in place of injured Raj Angad Bawa in the squad for the remaining matches of the Indian Premier League (IPL). In a statement issued by the IPL, it has been said that Punjab Kings have added Gurnoor Singh Brar to their team for Rs 20 lakh. Raj Angad Bawa, who played two matches for Punjab Kings last season, has been ruled out of the current IPL due to a left shoulder injury.

Gurnoor Singh Brar is a left handed batsman. He made his debut in first class cricket for Punjab in December last year. Talking about the bowling of Gurnoor Singh Brar, he bowls fast with the right arm. He can also become a deadlier bowler than Umran Malik, the fast bowler of the Indian team. This 22-year-old player has so far scored 107 runs in five first-class matches and has also taken seven wickets. Now the strength of the Punjab Kings team has increased even more and Gurnoor Singh Brar can win the first IPL title to the Punjab Kings.

Gurnoor Singh Brar plays Ranji for Punjab, due to which Punjab Kings have included him in their team in IPL. Gurnoor Singh is known as an all-rounder player. He also bowls at medium fast pace along with batting. Gurnoor Singh Brar is only 22 years old and has played 5 first matches so far, in which he has scored 107 runs at an average of 26. In their first match of IPL 2023, Punjab Kings won Kolkata Knight Riders by 7 runs in a rain interrupted match. Punjab Kings will now play IPL match with Rajasthan Royals in the second match on Wednesday i.e. today.
