G20 Summit India: India is presiding over the G20 countries this year. Preparations for this summit of world leaders are in full swing in Delhi. But two big economic and veto power of the world i.e. China and Russia will remain absent from this. In the absence of Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin, how will major decisions related to the world economy be approved?

The world is divided over the Russia-Ukraine war, and now its impact will also be visible on the G20 meeting that is going to be held in India for the first time. It is now clear that Chinese President Xi Jinping is not coming to India, in his place Premier Li Qiang will lead China. On the other hand, according to the news of Reuters, Russia has also given a confirmed news about the absence of President Vladimir Putin from the G20.

Joint statement did not come in more than 20 meetings

During India's G20 presidency, more than 20 meetings at the level of ministers, central banks and other delegations have been held so far in a year. But after any meeting, not a single joint statement of the G20 countries has come out. The reason for this is that the countries of the East and the West could not agree on the Ukraine war. This discrepancy has created difficulty in forming an opinion on many decisions related to the world's economy and the welfare of mankind.

Will talk get stuck on food security, debt burden?

When world leaders of G20 countries meet in Delhi this week, there will be discussion on food security, increasing debt burden on economies and global cooperation on climate change. Along with this, the problems of the coming times like cryptocurrency, threat to employment from AI and other economic issues will also be discussed. Then it will be difficult to decide in the absence of the top leaders of Russia and China, and world leaders will have to find a different way to reach a consensus.

West's dominance will be seen in G20

Due to the absence of Russia and China, the dominance of western countries will be visible in the G20 summit to be held in India. It will include US President Joe Biden, German Chancellor Olaf Schauss, French President Emmanuel Macron. There will also be Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia and Fumio Kishida of Japan, who will always be considered in favor of Western countries.

Will the Indonesian method work?

This time the G20 meeting is important. India wants to capitalize on this opportunity to become an economic powerhouse as well as a major power in the South Asia region. In such a situation, if no joint statement comes after the summit, then it can become a big challenge for India at the political and diplomatic level.

However, one side believes that this time too, like last year, some way can emerge on the last occasion. The last G20 meeting was held in Bali, Indonesia and President Joko Widodo convinced the world leaders to give a joint statement at the last moment. This time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's personal relations with world leaders can persuade them to give a joint statement.
