Lucknow : Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi reached Lakhimpur Kheri on Wednesday evening. First of all, both the leaders reached Palia and met the family members of the farmer Lovepreet who was killed in the ruckus. Both the leaders interacted with the family members of Lovepreet at the house located at Chaukhra Farm in Palia. Assured them of all possible help. Rahul-Priyanka met Lovepreet's parents and both sisters and shared their grief. He also assured to support the family in the struggle for justice.

After staying at Lovepreet's house for twenty minutes, Rahul-Priyanka reached the house of Raman Kashyap, the journalist who was killed in the ruckus. Met his family members. At around 10:38 pm, Rahul went inside with Priyanka and interacted with the family. Raman's father Ram Dulare, Raman's wife Aradhana, brother Pawan Kashyap were present. However, after the news of getting permission from the government, many people reached inside even after being stopped by the police.
