In a scathing attack on Rahul Gandhi's remarks on China-Pakistan ties, Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday lashed out at the former Congress president and said there were two major illegal occupations on the international arena during the Nehru and Indira governments. Let us inform that Rajnath Singh reached Punjab on February 4 to campaign for BJP candidate Raghunath Singh Rana at Dasuya in Hoshiarpur district. Union Minister Som Prakash, senior leader Avinash Rai Khanna and others were present with him on this occasion. Rajnath Singh said that there were some such powers that she used to speak whatever came in her mind.

He said that he will apologize to my Congress friends but whatever Rahul Gandhi said in Parliament has hurt a lot. In Parliament, Rahul Gandhi tried to present historical facts and accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led central government of bringing China and Pakistan closer because of the government's wrong foreign policies.

'Does Rahul not know history'?

Rajnath Singh in his address said, “Did Rahul Gandhi not know the past history. Pakistan handed over the Shaksgam Valley to China, at that time Jawaharlal Nehru was the Prime Minister of India. Not only this, Karakoram Highway was constructed in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir, Prime Minister of India was not from BJP but Indira Gandhi was PM and you (Rahul) said that Pak-China came close to BJP's wrong foreign policies. The China and Pakistan Economic Corridor started during the Congress rule".

Rajnath Singh further said that our Indian soldiers made supreme sacrifice in the skirmishes of Galwan Valley with the Chinese Army. Despite the efforts of China, our soldiers gave their lives and did not allow China to occupy even an inch of land in India. He (Rahul) had said that India lost more soldiers while only four Chinese soldiers lost their lives in Galwan Valley. Would you believe the Global Times, China's official newspaper, but a leading Australian newspaper reported that China reported 38-40 casualties.

"While our soldiers were clashing with Chinese soldiers in Galwan Valley, while you were busy meeting the Chinese ambassador here in New Delhi," Singh said. He further said that India has neither attacked any country nor occupied an inch of territory of any country with less power than it. We are emerging as a world power only for the welfare of the world.
