Ukraine-Russia | The 139-day-long war between Russia and Ukraine is taking a serious turn by the day. The Russian Defense Ministry claimed on Wednesday that its military had shot down three Ukrainian fighter jets. Russia has said that the planes it shot down included Su-25 and Su-24 fighter jets. They have been shot down in the Donetsk region of eastern Ukraine, while the third fighter jet was a MiG-29.

According to media reports, all these fighter aircraft are Soviet-designed aircraft that are being used by the Ukrainian Air Force. However, there was no immediate reaction from Ukraine on the claim of downing the fighter plane. This claim has been made by Russia at a time when talks have started between the two countries to break the impasse on grain exports.
