Russia-Ukraine War / Russia launched deadly attacks on Ukraine just hours after talking to Trump

The Russia-Ukraine war is getting more fierce. Five people including a child died in a Russian drone attack in Priluki. 17 people were injured in Kharkiv. President Putin described the attacks as a response to Ukrainian drone attacks. Even the Trump-Putin talks did not bring any hope of a ceasefire.

Russia-Ukraine War: The ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine has now reached an even more horrific turn. In the latest development, Russia carried out a series of drone attacks on the city of Priluki in northern Ukraine on Thursday night, killing at least five people, including a one-year-old child. Regional Governor Viacheslav Chaus confirmed the attack and said that six people are seriously injured and have been admitted to the hospital.

Destruction on Priluki and Kharkiv

Six Shahed-class drones targeted residential areas, completely destroying many houses. At the same time, Russian drone attacks also wreaked havoc in the eastern city of Kharkiv in Ukraine on Thursday. According to regional chief Oleh Sinyhubov, 17 people have been injured in these attacks, including a pregnant woman, children and a 93-year-old woman. The attack on two apartments in the Slobidsky district caused a fire and several vehicles were burnt to ashes.

Attacks intensify after Putin-Trump talks

Before these attacks, there was a long conversation on the phone between Russian President Vladimir Putin and former US President Donald Trump. Trump said that Putin had talked about giving a "firm response" to Ukraine's attack on the Russian airbase. However, Trump clarified that this conversation was "good", but immediate peace cannot be expected from it.

Hope for peace or warning of war?

This is the first time that Trump has made a public comment on Ukraine's drone attacks within Russia. However, Putin's statement and the attacks that followed immediately after it have made it clear that Russia is now ready to adopt a more aggressive attitude.

The continuous deaths of innocent people in this war, attacks on children and the elderly are no longer allowing this conflict to remain just a fight between two countries, but it is becoming a matter of global concern. Will the world take any decisive steps to stop this war, or will this devastation increase further?
