New Delhi. Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar made his debut in international cricket in the year 1989. Sachin, known as the God of Cricket, touched all those milestones in his career which is expected from a big cricketer. The century of centuries is such a record that it was not easy for anyone to imagine. Sachin showed it by doing this. Present-day legend Virat Kohli is still far behind this record. Despite all the records, the biggest regret in Sachin's career was not being able to win the only and only ICC title.

Sachin failed in first 5 attempts out of 6

In the year 2013, Sachin Tendulkar retired from international cricket. Earlier in 2011, under the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the Indian team won the 50-over World Cup title. During his career, the master blaster played a total of six World Cups of 50 overs. He failed on the first five matches. In the year 2003, under the captaincy of Sourav Ganguly, the Indian team reached the final but in the end got defeated by Australia. Meanwhile, in 2007, a young team went on a tour of South Africa and was successful in winning the T20 World Cup title being held there for the first time.

Veterans made distance from T20 World Cup

Sachin may be yearning for the first World Cup title in his career, but in the year 2007, Dhoni's team became the world champion in the T20 format. During this tournament, veterans like Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid were not a part of the team. Virender Sehwag, Yuvzra Singh, Harbhajan Singh were the most senior cricketers of this young team. BCCI was not much interested in T20 format. This is the reason why a young team was formed and sent to South Africa.

Now the situation in Team India's dressing room was such that Sachin's disciples Virender Sehwag and Harbhajan Singh had the ICC title badge while the god of cricket was still bereft of it. During an interview, Sehwag told that he always used to tease Sachin that we have T20 World Cup badge and you do not have it. We bullied them till we won the World Cup in 2011. Even when we were going out in an open bus on the streets of Mumbai after winning the T20 World Cup title, Sachin got stuck in the jam. We were having a lot of fun.
