Cricket Desk: Amidst the pandemic, 2020 has been an eventful year for Hardik Pandya and Natasa Stankovic. The couple got engaged, married and were also blessed with a baby boy and the family enjoyed its time together in lockdown. While the situation in the country is still not improved, the IPL-bound Indian players are getting ready to leave for the UAE to play the T20 extravaganza starting from September 19.

Accordingly, Hardik Pandya also left his family recently to join the Mumbai Indians (MI) to leave for the UAE later this week. It would have been tough for him to leave his wife Natasa and baby Agastya, at this stage. However, the players have been told to reach UAE a month before the IPL to train and enter securely in the bio-bubble according to the protocols.

Meanwhile, soon after he left, Natasa Stankovic posted one of her adorable pictures with her husband cricketer stating that she was already missing him. However, after a few hours Instagram removed the post terming that it went against their community guidelines. Natasa was surprised after it happened as there was nothing objectionable in the post and she expressed her disappointment posting a story on her official Instagram account.

Families allowed to join players in IPL but under strict protocols

According to the SOPs released by the BCCI, the families are allowed to join the players during the IPL in the UAE. But even they will have to follow the strict protocols set by the board. They will have to be tested negative for COVID-19 and then stay in the bubble and make sure they don’t go out of it at any juncture.

So far, there is no confirmation if any of the player’s families is travelling with him but things will get clear in the next month. Also, the Pandya family is unlikely to risk travelling with the new-born baby. Hardik Pandya might have to miss his wife and baby for a long period of time.
