Saamana Editorial On MPs Suspension: In the mouthpiece of Shiv Sena, Saamana, the suspension of many members in Parliament has been strongly opposed. The incident has been termed as a murder of democracy. While making a scathing remark in Saamana this time it has been written that "Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha are the highest auditoriums of our democracy. Representatives elected on the basis of public opinion are connected to the public in these two auditoriums and to solve the problems related to the interest of the country." In such cases, it is expected that the ruling party should respond with words and actions, but for the last seven-eight years, attempts are being made to suppress the voice of the opponents in different ways in the Parliament. The community suspension of opposition MPs is a part of that effort. It has to be called a community massacre of democracy."

Shivsena raised these questions

The party's mouthpiece reads that "Two days ago, four Congress MPs were suspended in the Lok Sabha. Earlier on Wednesday, similar action was taken against about 19 MPs in the Rajya Sabha. The Shiv Sena alleged that this action was taken. This was done because they raised their voice on the problems of the people in Parliament, the leaders raised their voice on the issue of inflation and GST, the poisonous liquor scandal in Gujarat. It was written that all these Trinamool Congress, DMK, Telangana Rashtra Samithi, AAP ' And there are MPs of Marxist Communist Party. All of them have to speak in Parliament on inflation, not on GST, then on what? People have sent them to Parliament as their representative, haven't they? Do not, such is the policy of the central government."

Suspension of MPs is a kind of speech ban - editorial

The editorial further accused the central government of writing that "the ruling party is engrossed in self-indulgence but the general public is battered by the blow of inflation. The budget of the housewives has collapsed due to the increase in the prices of cooking gas. The government on one hand 'Ujjwala' ' The scheme beats the drums, but the gas cylinders that have become very expensive have become impossible for the people covered under this scheme. This burning truth is being hidden. On the one hand, the new ghost of rate hike and five per cent GST on the other, The government has put on the wrists of the common people. Who will raise their voice against this work, if not on behalf of the public? But here to keep the public entangled in religious and other rhetoric and on the other hand the opponents are neither on the road nor on the road. He is not allowed to speak in Parliament nor outside Parliament. If he raises his voice in Parliament, he sticks a band of suspension on his face.

In this editorial of Saamana it has been further said that there is no ban on speech and on the other hand, action should be taken against those who raise voice in the auditorium against inflation, suspending the MPs simultaneously. This too is in a way a 'speech captive'. Before the commencement of the session of Parliament, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, 'There should be open-minded dialogue and discussion in the Parliament. Members of Parliament should make full use of the session', had called for it. This expectation of the Prime Minister is welcome. Don't waste precious time of working of opposition Parliament. This expectation of the government is also not illegitimate, but the desire of the opponents to raise their voice in the auditorium on the problems related to the needs of the people is also not unreasonable?

'Mass murder of democracy'

The editorial alleged that "The Prime Minister says that there should be open-hearted dialogue and open discussion in Parliament. But the hasty suspension of four Congress MPs who spoke on inflation in the Lok Sabha and about 19 opposing MPs in the Rajya Sabha, what 'open atmosphere'? It is the duty of the government side to properly solve the problems of the real opponents, if this had happened, then the open dialogue would have been proved as per the Prime Minister. The voice was suppressed. Control on which words to use in the speech of Parliament, agitation in the Parliament premises, ban on protesting and now the ax of suspension on 23 opposition MPs who have become aggressive about inflation in Parliament, this 'open dialogue' ' But it is a mass murder of democracy."
