Paralympic Games / Shooter Naresh Kumar’s Plea was sent back to High Court by Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court has allowed paralympic shooter Naresh Kumar Sharma to pursue his charm before the Delhi high court when the International Paralympic Committee refused to permit Sharma’s name to be sent as a further participant. The highest court had on Monday directed the Paralympics Committee of India (PCI) to suggest Sharma’s name for the Yeddo Paralympics.

Representing  Sharma, senior advocate Vikas Singh enlightened the court, “PCI has aforementioned that Tokyo refused to allot an additional quota for the petitioner as there's a quota for eight male athletes at intervals the bubble.”

On Monday, after the SC directed Sharma to be value-added as a further participant within the list being sent for the R-7 event in Yeddo Paralympics, PCI issued a press release saying, “The choice criteria and method are all at the discretion of International Paralympic Committee and PCI has no active role to play in it except conducting selection as per the guidelines.”

Sharma, an Arjuna Awardee, wasn't comprehended in the Tokyo Paralympics starting August 24. because the last date for submitting the names was August 2, he approached the Supreme Court for pressing intervention. Consistent with Sharma, the PCI had suggested the name of only one shooter Deepak underneath the R-7 event once there's provision for comprehending 3 names for every event.

Singh requested the court that since Sharma’s name has been value-added to the list by the highest court’s order, he would love to pursue his pending plea before a division bench of the Delhi High Court to seek an order if Deepak needs to go or if Sharma can be sent as a reserve.

The highest court disposed of Sharma’s appeal so as to permit him to pursue his pending case before the High Court. The bench further requested the HC to require up the petition expeditiously.
