Jharkhand News: Cases of women crime in Jharkhand are not taking the name of stopping. On Friday itself, ten miscreants kidnapped a young woman who came to visit Chaibasa airport with her male friend. The friend tried to save, but the miscreants beat him up and made him breathless. Then the accused took the girl to an isolated place, where she was gang-raped. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and took the victim to the hospital for treatment. At the same time, raids have been started in search of the accused. Police said that the victim is a software engineer.

Police said that after carrying out the gang rape incident, the accused threatened to kill the victim. On his way, the accused also snatched mobile phone and money from him. The hospitalized victim has given statements to the police in this regard. On the basis of his statement, Chaibasa police has started investigation by registering a case against ten unknown miscreants under sections of gang rape, assault and robbery. The police have formed different teams to arrest the accused. These teams are raiding the possible hideouts of the accused.

The victim had gone to the airport

The victim, a resident of Jhikpani, Chaibasa, the district headquarters of West Singhbhum, Jharkhand, has told the whole story in her statement to the police. He said he is a software engineer. On Friday, she went on a scooty with her male friend to visit Chaibasa airport. Both of them were sitting there talking. At that time ten youths came and started misbehaving with her. When his friend tried to save him, the accused beat him up badly and took him away. Then taking her to a deserted place, all the people took turns and raped her.

The victim told in her statement that she had fainted while fighting with the accused. Even after this, the accused kept arbitrarily with him. Police said that after getting the victim's medical done, a case has been registered in the Mufassil police station of Chaibasa. Police said that when the accused went away with the girl, her friend immediately reached the police station and informed the police. After this, the police freed the girl from the clutches of the accused.

Superintendent of Police Ashutosh Shekhar said that at present some people have been detained on the basis of suspicion. They are being questioned in connection with the incident. However, the incident has not been confirmed by their statements so far. The police is taking action to nab the other miscreants.
