Voting for the seventh phase of the UP assembly elections is going on today in 54 seats in nine districts of Purvanchal amid tight security arrangements. Barring isolated incidents, no major incident was reported from nine districts of Varanasi, Azamgarh, Bhadohi, Ghazipur, Chandauli, Jaunpur, Mau, Mirzapur and Sonbhadra.

At the same time, there was an altercation between the supporters of SP and JDU candidate Dhananjay Singh on the information of fake voting in Malhani assembly of Jaunpur, one of the hot seats of Purvanchal. When the police arrived on the information of the uproar, everyone ran away. Police has taken a youth into custody from the spot.

Rumors lighten the administration

SP City Dr. Sanjay Kumar told that the EVM problem has been resolved. Polling is now being conducted peacefully. On the other hand, Deputy District Election Officer Ram Prakash said that

Such misleading information is being spread by some people that if the name is not in the voter list, one can go to the booth and vote by filling a form. This is false, baseless and misleading information. Voting can be done only by those whose name is already registered in the voter list.

Presiding officer accused of influencing polling in Jaunpur

The Samajwadi Party has accused the presiding officer of influencing the polling at booth number 335 of Machhlishahr Assembly. After the tweet, there was a stir in the district administration to the tehsil administration. Sub-Collector Jyoti Singh said that a complaint was lodged against the presiding officer at booth 335 through web cost for affecting the polling.

At booth number 116 of Badlapur assembly constituency, the administration was stunned by the news of fake voting by the presiding officer Pannalal. Sector magistrate said that there is no such thing.
