7th Phase Election / SP and BJP supporters fight in Ghazipur, Dhananjay Singh's supporters also clash in Jaunpur

Voting for the seventh phase of the UP assembly elections is going on today in 54 seats in nine districts of Purvanchal amid tight security arrangements. Barring isolated incidents, no major incident was reported from nine districts of Varanasi, Azamgarh, Bhadohi, Ghazipur, Chandauli, Jaunpur, Mau, Mirzapur and Sonbhadra.

At the same time, there was an altercation between the supporters of SP and JDU candidate Dhananjay Singh on the information of fake voting in Malhani assembly of Jaunpur, one of the hot seats of Purvanchal. When the police arrived on the information of the uproar, everyone ran away. Police has taken a youth into custody from the spot.

Rumors lighten the administration

SP City Dr. Sanjay Kumar told that the EVM problem has been resolved. Polling is now being conducted peacefully. On the other hand, Deputy District Election Officer Ram Prakash said that

Presiding officer accused of influencing polling in Jaunpur

The Samajwadi Party has accused the presiding officer of influencing the polling at booth number 335 of Machhlishahr Assembly.
