Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by 7 wickets in the 25th match of IPL 2022. There was a target of 176 in front of SRH, which the team achieved by losing only 3 wickets in a one-sided fashion. Rahul Tripathi scored 71 runs, while Aiden Markram also scored an unbeaten 68.


This was SRH's third consecutive win in 5 matches. No one expected Hyderabad to make such a strong comeback after losing the first two matches of the tournament in a row, but the team really took everyone by surprise. At the same time, this is the third defeat of KKR in 6 matches.


Earlier, KKR scored 171 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. Nitish Rana top-scored with 54, while Andre Russell scored an unbeaten 49 off 25 balls. T Natarajan took 3 wickets for SRH.


Aiden's experience came in handy

Both the players added 94 runs for the third wicket and retained SRH in the match. Russell broke the pair by dismissing Tripathi. Rahul played an excellent innings of 71 runs in 37 balls.

Rahul Tripathi completed his 8th half-century of his IPL career in just 21 balls while batting. Rahul was dismissed for 71 by Russell. His catch was caught by Venkatesh Iyer at long on.

Shashank Singh caught Sunil at catch point. Natarajan took 2 wickets giving only 6 runs in this over.

Aaron Finch, playing his first match for KKR, scored 7 runs in 5 balls and was dismissed by Marco Yensson. His catch was caught by wicketkeeper Nicholas Pooran. He hit a six in his innings.

Aaron by KKR Finch was included in the playing XI. Let us tell you that this is Finch's 9th IPL team. Till now no other player has played for so many franchises. Finch has been roped in by the KKR franchise as a replacement for Alex Hales. Hales withdrew from the IPL citing fatigue in the bio-bubble.
