After this the situation turned violent and stone pelting was done from both the sides. 15 people have been injured in this clash. Police said that after the incident, heavy police force has been deployed in the entire area, after which the situation is under control.

Kurnool SP told that, this incident happened during the procession on Hanuman Janmotsav. This was followed by stone pelting from both sides. He said that 20 people have been taken into custody based on the CCTV footage. they are being interrogated.

There was ruckus in Karnataka too

A case of stone pelting has also come to light from Hubli in Karnataka late on Saturday night. Chaotic elements pelted stones at Old Hubli Police Station here. Four policemen were injured in this incident. Police Commissioner Labhuram said that after the incident, Section 144 has been imposed in the entire area. He said that now the situation is under control. Security has been beefed up at all places.

According to the information, suddenly a huge crowd reached the police station on Saturday night and started pelting stones. After this, the police resorted to lathi charge to disperse the crowd, after which the crowd turned violent. Four policemen were injured in this incident. Later the police controlled the crowd by firing tear gas shells.

According to news agency ANI, some videos of this incident have also surfaced. In this, the crowd is demanding action against the person who posted the objectionable WhatsApp status. Apart from this, there have also been reports of stone pelting at a hospital and Hanuman temple.

40 people arrested

Police Commissioner Labhu Ram said that the crowd gathered outside the police station tried to damage the police vehicles. The mob also pelted stones at the police officers. Six cases have been registered in this case. At the same time, 40 people involved in violent activity have been arrested. He said that the accused who uploaded the objectionable video on social media has also been arrested.
