Bollywood Actress / The daughter of Bollywood's first superstar, who was forced to become a heroine, was actually her dream

While most star kids in Bollywood dream of becoming superstars like their parents, Twinkle Khanna revealed that she never wanted to be an actress. Twinkle, who debuted in 1995 with "Barsaat," explained that she started acting out of financial constraints and originally wanted to become an accountant.

Bollywood Actress: Over the past few years, many star kids have launched their acting careers in Bollywood. Khushi Kapoor, Junaid Khan, and Ibrahim Ali Khan are among the names on this list. Some of them have been well-received by audiences, while others have faced severe criticism. While most star kids dream of shining on the silver screen like their parents, there was one star kid in Bollywood who had no interest in acting. We're talking about Twinkle Khanna, who herself revealed that she never wanted to be an actress.

A Superhit Debut in 1995, Yet a Lull in the Rise

Twinkle Khanna entered Bollywood in 1995 with the film "Barsaat," starring opposite Bobby Deol. The film was a box office hit and was well-received by audiences. While Twinkle's debut was impressive, her subsequent films failed to win over audiences. After "Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega" in 2001, Twinkle Khanna bid adieu to the world of acting. These days, she's in the news for her chat show, "Too Much with Kajol and Twinkle," where she entertains audiences with Kajol.

My dream was to become an accountant, not an actress.

Twinkle Khanna, in a conversation with Kareena Kapoor for Tweak India, revealed that she never wanted to be an actress. She said, "I never really wanted to be an actress. It was a compulsion because my mother was single and was taking care of everyone." Twinkle Khanna also spoke openly about this in an interview with Lehrein. She said, "I never thought of becoming an actress. I wanted to be an accountant. I've been around actors since childhood, but I was never attracted to fame. I didn't go for it; fame came to me."

Support from Parents' Stardom

Twinkle Khanna admitted that the star power of her parents, superstar Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia, initially supported her career. She said, "People used to think twice about doing drama with me. I got my first break easily, but after that, you have to work on your own career." This statement clearly shows that being a star kid certainly benefited her, but long-term sustainability required hard work and talent, which perhaps wasn't her priority.

Created a New Identity in Writing and Production

After leaving acting, Twinkle entered the world of writing and film production. She is a renowned columnist, and her books, such as "Mrs. Funnybones" and "Pyjamas Are Forgiving," have received critical acclaim. She is also a successful producer, and her production company has produced films like "Padmaavat" and "Kabir Singh." Twinkle's journey shows that she chose the path that reflects her true interest and passion.
