At present, the 30-share index Sensex of Bombay Stock Exchange is trading at a level of 55,766 with a gain of 297 points. Along with this, the Nifty index of the National Stock Exchange is also trading at 16671 with a gain of 55 points.

Significantly, on Wednesday of the week, the stock market opened on the red mark and closed with a fall after a day's trading. The Sensex lost 778 points at 55,469, while the Nifty index slipped 188 points to close at 16,606.
