Stock Market / The stock market started on the green mark, Sensex jumped more than 220 points, Nifty also rose

On Thursday, the stock market started on a high note. The 30-share index Sensex of Bombay Stock Exchange and Nifty of National Stock Exchange opened on the green mark. Sensex jumped 223 points to open at 58,220 level, while Nifty gained 85 points to open at 17,407 level.

28 stocks of Sensex on the green mark

With the opening of the market, about 1387 shares have risen, 360 shares have declined and 84 shares have remained unchanged. Tata Motors, Wipro, IOC, Hero MotoCorp and Grasim Industries were among the major gainers on the Nifty, while HDFC Life, HDFC Bank, HUL, Britannia Industries and Dr Reddy's Labs were among the losers. Meanwhile, 28 out of 30 Sensex stocks were trading on the green mark.

Wednesday came down

It is worth noting that in the last trading session too, the stock market was open with an increase but could not sustain this uptrend. On Wednesday, both the indices of the market had closed on the red mark at the end of trading. The BSE Sensex closed 145 points lower at 57,997, while the Nifty lost 30 points to close at 17,322.
