Nirav Modi News: The way has been cleared to bring fugitive diamond trader Nirav Modi to India. The UK High Court has rejected his application. The High Court said that the extradition of Nirav Modi will not be wrong. Let us inform that Nirav Modi was declared as a fugitive economic offender in December 2019 by the special PMLA court according to the Fugitive Economic Offenders Act, 2018. He is currently lodged in a London jail.

Nirav Modi is a victim of depression- Lawyer

India has long wanted the extradition of Nirav Modi, but Nirav Modi, who is taking refuge in Britain, is constantly giving different arguments to avoid that action. In the UK High Court, Nirav's lawyers are telling that he is a victim of depression and the situation in the jail of India, where he can also commit suicide. On the basis of this logic, till now his extradition was being opposed. But the UK High Court has rejected that petition of Nirav Modi after a full hearing.

Alleged fraud of Rs 14500 crore

Nirav Modi along with Mehul Choksi is accused of defrauding Punjab National Bank (PNB) to the tune of Rs 14500 crore. In February this year, Nirav Modi was given a big blow when the Westminster Court of Britain approved extradition to India. After this Nirav Modi filed an appeal in the London High Court.
