Maharashtra News: There has been a slight improvement in the air quality in the city today, but there has been no relief from smog. Today, improvement in AQI has been recorded in the city for several days. Let us tell you that there was light rain last night, due to which today the overall AQI of the city is in 150 i.e. "moderate" category. However, in some areas like CST, AQI is still at 300 level i.e. it remains "very poor". Despite the rain in Mumbai, there are some areas where a thick blanket of smog is still visible in the air.

Light rain in some areas

Today the people of Mumbai got some respite from the suffocating air as there was light rain in some areas of the city on Wednesday night. Despite this, there are some areas of the city where a thick blanket of "smog" is still visible in the air. At the same time, today the AQI of Worli area is 83 i.e. "satisfactory". But here too a very thick sheet of "smog" has been seen. Due to which even the tall buildings of the area are not visible.

Has a bad effect on health

Please note that this smog has the worst impact on people's health. Due to this smog, people have to face problems like eye irritation, throat infection and difficulty in breathing. Due to the continuous dangerous air in Mumbai and other big cities like Pune, Nagpur and the problems it is causing to the people, today Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has called a meeting of the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) so that a solution to this problem can be found.
