Jharkhand Politics: Political activity has increased in Jharkhand these days. Floor test of Champai Soren government in Jharkhand is to be held today i.e. on Monday. The new Chief Minister of the state Champai Soren will prove his majority in the Assembly today. Before the permission of the court, CM Hemant Soren will also be present during the floor test. At the same time, before the floor test, 37 MLAs of the ruling party returned to Ranchi from Hyderabad on Sunday night. The MLAs were brought to Ranchi by two chartered planes.

MLAs spent the night in the circuit house

The ruling party MLAs had left for Hyderabad after the swearing-in of Chief Minister Champai Soren on February 2, but they had to return from the airport as the flight was canceled due to bad weather. He left for Hyderabad on 3 February. For the last two days, all the MLAs were staying at Leon Resort in Hyderabad. After reaching Ranchi, all the MLAs were brought to the Circuit House. The MLAs spent the night in the Circuit House itself. The MLAs will be brought to the Assembly today under tight security. Tight security arrangements have been made by the administration from the Circuit House to the Assembly.

Claims support of 43 MLAs

Champai Soren, before sending the MLAs to Hyderabad, had claimed that he had absolute majority. A video in support of 43 MLAs was released from the Circuit House. However, except Hemant Soren, still four MLAs were out of it. At the same time, Lobin Hembrom's displeasure was also revealed. However, after meeting Shibu Soren, a change in his attitude was seen and he even said that there was no need for the MLAs to go to Hyderabad, those who are for sale can be sold anywhere and no one can buy me. Hembrom made it clear that he will support Champai Soren, but the stand of Shibu Soren's daughter-in-law and MLA Sita Soren is not clear.

Government changed in Bihar, Nitish did a reverse

Recently the government changed in the neighboring state Bihar. BJP state president JP Nadda himself attended the swearing-in ceremony of Nitish Kumar as the Chief Minister of the NDA alliance. A few months before that, the government of the same anti-BJP alliance was seen falling in Maharashtra.

A few days ago, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had claimed that BJP is trying to buy seven of its MLAs for Rs 25 crore each. In such a situation, the opposition has challenged the government of the new Chief Minister to prove its numerical superiority in Jharkhand also. However, the cautious JMM did not take any risk and sent 40 MLAs of the coalition government to a resort in Hyderabad.

Will Champai government be able to touch the magic number?

Meanwhile, voices of dissatisfaction are rising among the MLAs supporting Champai Soren. Lobin Hembrom, a JMM MLA, openly criticized former chief minister Hemant Soren, whose resignation triggered the formation of the new government. Additionally, three more MLAs are reportedly missing, raising concerns about the strength of the alliance's majority. However, Hemant Soren, who is currently in custody, will also appear in the floor test with the consent of the special court.

On the other hand, the number of MLAs of BJP is 25 MLAs and All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU), i.e. AJSU, has three MLAs, NCP and a Left party have one MLA each. Along with this, there are also three independent MLAs.

The ruling coalition has only a few MLAs more than the majority. In such a situation, JMM's concern has increased. However, the leaders of the ruling coalition have been insisting that they have enough MLAs to form the government. Champai Soren reviewed the law and order situation on Sunday. Party MLAs say that the list of 43 MLAs was given to the Governor. This figure will reach 46-47. There is no threat to the government.

Speculation intensifies regarding Champai government

All 40 MLAs were shifted to a resort near Telangana capital Hyderabad on Friday. Returned to Jharkhand's capital Ranchi on Sunday. The MLAs will stay at the Circuit House and will be taken to the National Assembly by private bus on Monday. On Saturday, a special court in Ranchi allowed Hemant Soren to participate in the trust vote in the state assembly.

He was sent to ED custody for five days on Friday. The former Chief Minister of Jharkhand also filed an appeal in the Supreme Court challenging his arrest. However, the Supreme Court refused to interfere in his arrest and asked him to approach the High Court.

Hours after his arrest on Wednesday, Hemant Soren named Champai Soren as his successor. Champai Soren took oath as the Chief Minister on Friday, while the other two took oath as ministers. After the swearing-in ceremony, Governor CP Radhakrishnan has asked Champai Soren to prove his majority within 10 days.
