Donald Trump News: US President Donald Trump has once again claimed that he ended the long-standing conflict between India and Pakistan. Speaking at the American Cornerstone Institute's Founders Dinner earlier this year, Trump said that he resolved the India-Pakistan conflict through trade. He also claimed that he prevented a total of seven global conflicts and deserved the Nobel Peace Prize for this.

Claim to Prevent Wars

In his speech, Trump said, "Today, America is highly respected on the world stage. We are brokering peace agreements and preventing wars." Specifically referring to India and Pakistan, he said, "Think about India and Pakistan. How did I stop it? Through trade. They want trade. I have great respect for both leaders." Trump further claimed that, in addition to the India-Pakistan conflict, he also prevented conflicts in Thailand-Cambodia, Armenia-Azerbaijan, Kosovo-Serbia, Israel-Iran, Egypt-Ethiopia, and Rwanda-Congo. He said, "We prevented all of these, and 60% of these conflicts were prevented because of trade."

Peace Through Trade

Trump clarified his approach regarding India and Pakistan, saying, "I told India, 'Look, if you fight, we won't do any trade.'" He also added that both countries possess nuclear weapons, making the resolution of the conflict even more urgent. Trump further strengthened his claim by saying that trade strategies played a key role in resolving many other global conflicts.

Russia-Ukraine Conflict and the Nobel Prize

Trump, referring to the Russia-Ukraine conflict, said that he was told that if he stopped this conflict, he could receive the Nobel Peace Prize. Trump quipped, "So what about the other seven? I should get a Nobel for each one." He also explained that his good relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin made him think the Russia-Ukraine conflict would be the easiest to resolve. However, he expressed disappointment, saying, "I thought this would be the easiest, but I'm disappointed with Putin. Still, we'll get it resolved somehow."

Demand for a Nobel Prize

Trump repeatedly brought up the Nobel Peace Prize in his speech. He claimed that his efforts to prevent seven global conflicts should be recognized. He said, "I stopped seven wars, and I think that's a great job. I should get a Nobel Prize for that."
