Amidst the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has presented a six-point plan to solve the crisis. Simultaneously, Johnson advocated for accelerating efforts internationally. Referring to the attack on Ukraine, Johnson said that Putin must fail.

In an article in The New York Times ahead of hosting world leaders at 10 Downing Street in London next week, Johnson reiterated that Russian President Vladimir Putin should not be able to rewrite international rules on military force. Should not be successful at any cost.

Johnson writes, "Putin must fail, and he must fail in this aggressive move." It is not enough to express support for a rules-based international order... We must defend attempts to rewrite the rules with military might.' He wrote, 'The world is watching. Here, not the historians of the future, but the people of Ukraine will be our judges.

There are six points involved in Johnson's strategy...

1) World leaders should form an 'International Humanitarian Alliance' for Ukraine.

2) They should also support Ukraine 'its self-defense efforts'.

3) The economic pressure on Russia should be increased further.

4) The international community must oppose the gradual normalization of Russia's actions against Ukraine.

5) A diplomatic solution to the war must be found, but with the full participation of the legitimate government of Ukraine.

6) There should be a 'prompt campaign to strengthen security and resilience' among North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) countries.
