The new minister can take over the work of the ministry in Navratri. Navratri is starting from April 2.

The 53-member cabinet was sworn in on March 25 at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana International Stadium. With the swearing-in 15 days after the election results on March 10, it was believed that the division of departments would also happen on the same day. But even after three days, the decision on this remains a matter of discussion in the political circles. Yogi Sarkar 2.0 has 18 cabinet ministers, 14 ministers of state (independent charge) and 20 ministers of state, including two deputy chief ministers. Experts believe that there is a tussle over big sectors like home, finance, PWD, energy, water power, medical and health, medical education, industrial development and education.

According to sources, some senior cabinet ministers and ministers of state (independent charge) want important portfolios. At the same time, senior party leaders are in favor of allocation of portfolios keeping in mind the image of the government among the public, implementation of central and state government schemes, their ability to listen to the public and workers, in view of the Lok Sabha elections 2024. .
