IND vs ENG: The new base of India and England team is now Ranchi. The fourth test match of the series will be played between the two teams in this city from 23 February. The Indian team has a 2-1 lead in the 3 tests played so far. With this lead, a big change can be seen in Team India which is going to play in Ranchi Test. This change can happen in the form of Jasprit Bumrah. There is news that Bumrah may be rested in the Ranchi Test. Now if it is so then who will play in his place?

The question is big because it is not easy for anyone to fill Bumrah's place. There are many reasons for this also. Firstly, Bumrah is a senior player of the team. The experience he has is not available to others. And then he is also the bowler taking the most wickets in the current series. Bumrah has taken 17 wickets in the 3 matches played so far. But, if the workload has to be managed then rest will have to be given. And, if this happens, then who will replace him in the playing XI of Ranchi Test?

If Bumrah does not play in Ranchi then these four will be the options!

Team India has 4 such players as options, who can replace Bumrah in the playing XI? The names of those players are Mukesh Kumar, Akashdeep, Washington Sundar and Akshar Patel. Now it is up to the team management to decide whom it gives a chance to. However, this decision will depend to a great extent on the conditions and team combination.

Will pacer or spinner take place in Ranchi?

If we talk about Mukesh Kumar, he was released from the team after the second Test played in Visakhapatnam and sent to play Ranji. And, what he did in Ranji brought the Bihar team to its knees. Mukesh Kumar single-handedly took 10 wickets for Bengal in the Ranji match against Bihar played in Kolkata. He took 4 wickets in the first innings and 6 wickets in the second innings.

Akashdeep has become a part of Team India for the first time. He also plays first class cricket from Bengal. This 27 year old player has so far taken 104 wickets in 30 first class matches at an average of 23.58. If Akashdeep gets a chance, he will be the third Indian player to make his debut in the Test series against England.

If the Ranchi pitch turns, that is, it turns out to be helpful to spin, then the team management can think of sidelining the pace option and fielding another spinner in place of Bumrah. And, if this happens then either Washington Sundar or Akshar Patel can play.
