Shubman Gill had dengue even before the start of Team India's World Cup campaign. Due to this, he was also admitted to the hospital in Chennai. Gill did not come to Delhi with Team India for the second match and then reached Ahmedabad directly. Since then, Gill's fitness was improving. Even before Team India reached Ahmedabad, Gill had practiced batting in the nets for about an hour on Thursday, 12 October. Since then, the expectations of Team India and the fans had increased.

Gill is available for selection

Now captain Rohit Sharma has confirmed these expectations. In the press conference a day before the match, the captain smiled when asked about Gill's fitness and said that he is available for selection. Rohit said that Gill is 99 percent available for selection. The return of Shubman Gill will give strength to Team India. Gill had batted brilliantly in the last match of Asia Cup against Pakistan and gave a good start to Team India by scoring a strong half-century.

Team India will make more changes

If Gill plays then Ishan Kishan will have to sit out. Ishan had opened in both the last matches and scored 47 runs. In the very first match against Australia, he was out after playing just one ball. His bat definitely worked against Afghanistan and he was out after scoring 47 runs.

Well, not only Ishan Kishan, but at least one more change is certain to happen. On the question of playing eleven, Rohit said that there will be at least one or two changes and he has already told the players about this. Although Rohit did not tell which player would be included in the team, he definitely gave a hint that if needed, the team can field with 3 spinners.
