Donald Trump News / Will Trump get the Nobel Peace Prize? Pakistan came out in support, made a proposal

US President Donald Trump has been nominated by Pakistan for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize. Pakistan claims that Trump played a diplomatic role amid India-Pak tensions. On June 18, Pak Army Chief Munir met Trump at the White House and formally announced support.

Donald Trump News: Former US President Donald Trump is once again in the headlines—this time as an ambassador of peace. Trump has previously expressed his desire to receive the Nobel Peace Prize from public forums, but now he has received an unexpected endorsement—from the Pakistani government.

In fact, Pakistan has officially recommended Donald Trump's name for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize. The reasoning behind this recommendation is that Trump's decisive diplomatic efforts during the recent tension between India and Pakistan helped avert the possibility of a major war.

Pakistan expressed gratitude

A statement issued by the Pakistani Foreign Ministry said that the initiative taken by Trump towards ceasefire between India and Pakistan is noteworthy. The ministry said that "Donald Trump's leadership and intervention succeeded in preventing a major military confrontation, which could have become a major threat to regional and global peace."

This statement has come after the incident when the Indian Army launched 'Operation Sindoor' in response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir and terrorist hideouts in Pakistan were targeted. In response to this, Pakistan launched 'Operation Bunyan Un Marsoos', due to which the tension between the two countries reached its peak.

Munir-Trump meeting became a topic of discussion

Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir met Donald Trump in Washington on June 18. White House spokesperson Anna Kelly confirmed this meeting and said that this meeting took place under the recommendation to nominate Trump for the Nobel Prize. According to sources, Pakistan had already informed the US administration about this proposal, after which a special invitation was sent to Munir.

Trump's reaction?

Although no formal statement has come from Trump yet, it is clear that he must have been encouraged by this proposal. Trump has previously described his mediation in North Korea and Afghanistan matters as "Nobel-worthy".

Is Nobel close to Trump?

Only time will tell whether Trump is really able to reach the Nobel Peace Prize or not, but the support of a country like Pakistan can definitely give him a new image on the international stage. Also, this development can prove to be a positive propaganda weapon for Trump in the upcoming US elections.
