The coronavirus pandemic has spread again in China. It is reported that the Jinping government has announced a strict lockdown on Monday in Shenzhen, the technological hub of southern China. With this, about 1,70,00,000 people of the city are now forced to remain locked in their homes. The local administration has taken this step of lockdown when 66 people were found infected in a single day in the district.

Significantly, a lockdown has been imposed in Changchun, the capital of Jilin province of China, on Friday. Then 90 lakh people of this city were ordered to stay at homes after emergency alert. On the other hand, a lockdown was also ordered in Yucheng of Shandong province, which has a population of about five lakhs. That is, in total three cities of China, currently 2,65,00,000 people are forced to remain locked in their homes.

Companies like Huawei and Tencent have their head office in Shenzhen

Two major Chinese companies, Huawei and Tencent, have their head offices in Shenzhen. The city shares a border with Hong Kong, where a large number of people are already getting infected by the Corona wave. The situation continues to worsen in Hong Kong where officials have confirmed 27,647 new cases of Kovid-19. In Hong Kong, another 87 people have died due to Kovid-19, which together has taken 3,729 lives here.

Highest cases of corona in two years in China

Daily cases of Kovid-19 in China were recorded on Saturday, the highest in two years. Officials said that there have been about two thousand new cases, including 20 infected in Beijing. The National Health Commission said on Sunday that 1,807 new cases of local infection of Kovid-19 were reported on the Chinese mainland on Saturday, while 131 patients were imported.

Guidelines issued in other cities also

Meanwhile, school-parks in Shanghai remained closed, while in Beijing, entry into residential areas has been banned. After receiving new cases, the administration in Beijing asked people not to come out of their homes. Even people have been instructed not to leave the city unless it is necessary.
