As Jaiswal completed 150 runs at the Feroz Shah Kotla (now. Arun Jaitley Stadium), he mirrored a rare feat by Virat Kohli. Kohli is one of the few batsmen to have scored more than 150 runs twice on the first day of a Test match. In 2016, Kohli scored 151 runs on Day 1 of the Visakhapatnam Test against England, while following this, in 2017, he returned unbeaten with 156 runs on Day 1 of the Delhi Test against Sri Lanka.
