IND vs WI: Team India's dynamic young opener, Yashasvi Jaiswal, continues to impress, consistently leaving his mark in every Test series, while having debuted against West Indies two years ago, Jaiswal once again targeted the same opposition, delivering a memorable century on the very first day of the second Test at Delhi's Arun Jaitley Stadium. During his impressive innings, Jaiswal replicated a remarkable achievement that was previously accomplished by former Indian captain and star batsman Virat Kohli seven years ago. The second Test between India and West Indies commenced on Friday, October 10, with Team India batting first, while jaiswal notched up his seventh Test century, marking his second against West Indies, having also scored a hundred in his debut Test against them in 2023. However, this particular century stood out due to its striking resemblance to a feat by Virat Kohli.

Kohli's Feat Seven Years Ago…

Jaiswal wasn't content with just a century; he converted it. Into a substantial innings, crossing the 150-run mark for the fifth time in his career. …Now Replicated by Yashasvi

Much like Kohli, Jaiswal has also managed to score more than 150. Runs twice on the first day of a Test match in his relatively short career. The most significant similarity with Kohli's achievement is that Jaiswal accomplished this feat at the exact same venues. Just like Kohli, Jaiswal scored 179 runs on Day 1 of the Visakhapatnam Test (2024) against England, while and now, in the Delhi Test, Jaiswal remained unbeaten on 173 runs on Day 1. Also, Virat Kohli was unbeaten in both his innings, and similarly, Jaiswal also remained not out on both occasions on Day 1.
