First decision of second innings / Yogi government will give free ration to 15 crore poor in UP for three months, stamped in cabinet meeting

Yogi Adityanath, who made a record by taking oath as the Chief Minister for the second consecutive time in UP, has taken a big decision in the cabinet meeting on the first day of his second term. The free ration scheme started during the Corona period has been extended for three more months. Earlier it was to continue till March 2022 only.

Addressing the media, the Chief Minister said that 80 crore poor of the country and 15 crore poor of the state are getting the benefit of this scheme. In our first cabinet meeting, it has been decided to extend this scheme further by three months. Under this scheme, along with food grains, pulses, salt, sugar and oil will also be given to the poor.

He said that this scheme would cost the state exchequer Rs 3270 crore. After this decision, 15 crore people of the state will continue to get benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Anna Yojana for the next three months.

Apart from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, Brajesh Pathak, Cabinet Minister Swatantra Dev Singh were also present in the press conference. This is the first decision of the newly formed government.
