A young man was shot dead due to an altercation at a liquor party in an office in front of Sugar Mill on Gohana Road. The incident happened on Thursday night around 11 pm. As soon as the information was received, the Model Town Police Station reached the spot and started action. The father, along with the accused who shot the bullet, also suspected a friend of the son of being involved in the murder conspiracy and filed a complaint.Naveen Kumar, a resident of Azad Nagar, told that on the night of March 24, 17-year-old son Chirag alias Gaurav Sharma called friend Sumit from home and took him to a wedding. He told that Pradeep was married in Azad Nagar. Pradeep's friend Jitta, a resident of Budakheda, Sombir, a resident of Azad Nagar, Surendra also came to the wedding.Everyone was drinking alcohol while sitting in Neeraj Pathak's office in front of Sugar Mill on Gohana Road. Sumit reached Neeraj Pathak's office with son Chirag at 10.30 pm. After reaching the office, the son called at 10:50 pm and told to come home soon. In the meantime, there was an altercation with Jetta. Due to the altercation, the accused killed the son by shooting him with his pistol.Suspicion on the friend who took him from homeNaveen, the father of the deceased, told that the son Chirag was taken by his friend Sumit from home. It is suspected that Sumit has a hand in the murder of the son along with the accused Jeette. After the murder, accused Jita and Sumit have fled from the spot. The police have started action by registering a murder report against both of them.Police and FSL team reached the spotAs soon as the information about the incident was received, the Model Town police station reached the spot and started action. The body was taken into custody and kept in the mortuary of the General Hospital. The FSL team also inspected the spot and collected many evidences. The post-mortem of the dead body will be done today.
