The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) headquarters in Jaipur witnessed a festive atmosphere following the announcement of the urban local body election results in Rajasthan. The results clearly indicated a strong mandate in favor of the BJP, leading to widespread celebrations among party leaders and workers. Out of the 302 urban local bodies where results for the top positions have been declared so far, the BJP has emerged victorious in 198 seats. The Congress party managed to secure 94 seats, while independent candidates won in 7 locations. Other political entities including the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI-M), and Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) each secured 1 seat.

Following the declaration of these results, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma arrived at the BJP state headquarters, where he was accorded a warm welcome by party leaders and enthusiastic workers. The atmosphere was filled with the sound of firecrackers and slogans as supporters celebrated the party's performance. Senior leaders, including BJP State President Madan Rathore, Organization General Secretary Ajey Kumar, former State President Ashok Parnami, State General Secretary Shravan Singh Bagri, MLA Balmukundacharya, and IT In-charge Avinash Joshi, were present to greet the Chief Minister. They congratulated him by offering sweets and expressed their joy over the significant lead established by the party in urban politics. This victory has further strengthened the BJP's position in the urban political landscape of Rajasthan, while the Congress faces the challenge of reorganizing its local political equations.

CM Slams Congress Over Allegations
Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma also took the opportunity to target the Congress party. He remarked that instead of practicing politics based on development and public issues, Congress leaders remain focused on creating political equations based on caste and religion. Responding to the Congress's allegations regarding the misuse of government machinery during the elections, the Chief Minister stated that the Congress had started making these accusations even before the elections began. According to him, the Congress realized from day one that it was losing ground, which is why it resorted to misleading the public through various allegations, while sharma challenged the Congress to compare its tenure with the work done by the current BJP government, noting that in the last two and a half years, the BJP government has worked extensively in the fields of employment and development for various sections, including the youth.
Vision for a Developed Rajasthan
The Chief Minister linked the local body election results to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a 'Vibrant India' and the goal of a 'Developed Rajasthan', while he stated that the government is continuously working towards fulfilling the promises made in the resolution letter (Sankalp Patra). He highlighted the progress made in sectors such as water, electricity, roads, education, healthcare, and employment. Specifically, he mentioned that significant work has been done to meet Rajasthan's water needs through projects like the ERCP (Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project), the Yamuna Water Agreement, and the Narmada Water Agreement. He also noted that efforts are underway to make the state self-reliant in the electricity sector, ensuring adequate power supply for farmers, industries, and domestic consumers. The expansion of the Jaipur Metro, the Ring Road, and other infrastructure development projects in various cities were also cited as key achievements.
Commitment to Urban Development
The Chief Minister reiterated that the BJP went to the public with a resolution for development in the urban local body elections. He assured that all resolutions related to development in the urban bodies would now be fulfilled. He stated that the support given by the public reflects their confidence in the government's functioning. The Chief Minister said that while there is a 'Pradhan Sevak' (Prime Minister) at the national level, he would always be available as a 'Sevak' (servant) in the state to serve the people. He called upon BJP workers and public representatives to remain constantly connected with the public, standing by them not just during elections but also in their times of joy and sorrow. Sharma emphasized the need to advance development work by maintaining a dialogue with the public in both urban and rural areas. Endorsement of Modi and Bhajan Lal's Leadership
BJP State President Madan Rathore stated that the party received widespread support across municipal corporations, municipal councils, and municipalities in the local body elections. He attributed this victory to the development works being carried out in the country under PM Modi's leadership and in the state under CM Bhajan Lal Sharma's leadership. Rathore also highlighted the excellent coordination between the party organization and the government. He mentioned that Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma maintained a strong synergy between the administration and the organization, which benefited the party in the elections, while encouraging the workers, Rathore said that the BJP has won a significant battle and that the workers are ready for the next political challenges. He criticized the Congress, stating that while the BJP wins on the strength of its organization, the Congress has been involved in using wrong methods and spreading rumors.
