In a significant security concern that has surfaced in Rajasthan, Dhananjay Singh, the son of the state's Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar, has reportedly received a death threat. The incident has caused a stir in the Khimsar police station area, where an unidentified individual allegedly threatened to shoot him during a phone conversation and through various social media platforms. Following the report of this incident, the local police have taken the matter seriously, registering a formal case and intensifying their search for the culprit.

Details of the Threatening Phone Call at Atal Bhavan

According to the formal police report submitted by Dhananjay Singh, the incident occurred on the morning of 5 June. At that time, Singh was present at his office, known as 'Atal Bhavan', which is situated within the Khimsar Fort premises. He received a call from an unknown mobile number. During the initial part of the conversation, the caller inquired about his upcoming travel plans to Jaipur. Dhananjay Singh responded by stating that he was scheduled to visit Jaipur in two days to attend a meeting of the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA).

Upon hearing about his planned visit to the capital, the caller's tone turned aggressive and threatening. The individual on the other end of the line warned him to be careful, while when Dhananjay Singh questioned the caller about the meaning of his words and asked for his identity, the suspect explicitly stated, "Dhyan rakhna, goli maar dunga" (Watch out, I will shoot you). In response to this direct threat, Singh informed the caller that he's protected by a Quick Response Team (QRT) and that the security personnel are armed. Immediately after this exchange, the caller disconnected the phone line.

Persistent Threats via Social Media Platforms

The investigation has revealed that the threats weren't limited to a single phone call. Dhananjay Singh informed the authorities that he has been receiving threatening messages and comments on his official Facebook page for some time. These digital threats have caused significant concern regarding the safety and security of the Minister's family. To assist with the investigation, Singh has provided the police with screenshots of the threatening comments and the specific URLs of the profiles involved in the harassment.

Police Investigation and Legal Action

The Khimsar police have officially acknowledged the gravity of the situation. Station House Officer (SHO) Aditi Upadhyay stated that based on the victim's report, an FIR has been registered against the unknown accused, while the responsibility for the investigation has been assigned to Sub-Inspector (SI) Amar Chand. The police department's Cyber Cell has also been brought into the case to trace the location of the caller and identify the individuals behind the Facebook profiles. The authorities are currently working to track the digital footprint of the suspect to ensure a swift arrest and to mitigate any potential risk to Dhananjay Singh.
