Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has officially announced the dates for the upcoming edition of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS), while this significant event is scheduled to take place from September 25 to September 29 at the India Expo Center and Mart in Greater Noida. During the announcement, the Chief Minister emphasized that this trade fair will serve as a premier global platform to showcase the manufacturing capabilities of Uttar Pradesh to an international audience. The event is expected to attract a wide range of participants, including global business leaders, investors, and trade delegations.
A Strategic Platform for Global Exports
The Chief Minister provided detailed insights into the trade fair, noting that this will be the fourth edition of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Exhibition. He highlighted that the event is meticulously designed to facilitate direct interactions between exhibitors and foreign buyers. By showcasing products manufactured across the entire state of Uttar Pradesh, the fair aims to bridge the gap between local industries and the global market. The schedule includes dedicated sessions for business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) meetings. These strategic interactions are intended to drive a significant increase in new export orders, thereby strengthening the state's economic position on the world stage. Reflecting on previous editions, the Chief Minister mentioned that the event has consistently drawn global participation and secured numerous international orders.
Gautam Buddha Nagar as an Investment Hub
Yogi Adityanath pointed out that Gautam Buddha Nagar has successfully emerged as one of the most preferred destinations for investment within the country, while he credited this achievement to the improved law and order situation and the rapid development of infrastructure under the current government. Speaking on the occasion of International MSME Day, the Chief Minister described Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises as the backbone of industrial growth. He stated that the MSME sector is crucial for realizing the vision of 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' (Self-Reliant India). Currently, Uttar Pradesh is home to 96 lakh MSME units that are playing a pivotal role in the state's economy and contributing Importantly to its total export volume.
Digitalization and Infrastructure Growth
In addition to the trade fair announcement, the Chief Minister issued specific directives to the Noida Authority to enhance administrative efficiency. He ordered the authority to transition all its services to a digital platform to ensure transparency and ease of access for the public, while Also, he instructed officials to take prompt action against land allottees who have failed to commence development work on their assigned plots. The Chief Minister stressed that the Noida Authority must work with the Integrated Command and Control Center to monitor all ongoing projects and administrative tasks effectively.
The announcement was made during a program where the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 70 development projects in the Noida and Dadri assembly constituencies. These projects, with a total valuation of 2479 crore rupees, are aimed at further enhancing the regional infrastructure. By combining large-scale development projects with international trade events, the state government is working towards a comprehensive strategy to establish Uttar Pradesh as a global industrial powerhouse.
