Cyclone Tauktae / 177 people rescued from Barge P305 by Indian Navy

Mumbai: Cyclone Tauktae has caused heavy damage in Mumbai and a total of 4 SOS calls were received during the cyclone, where the Navy and Indian Cost Guard are still in operation. The ship 'Barge P305' was stuck in the sea due to the storm, carrying a total of 273 people.

177 people rescued from barge P305 ship

Barge P305: It had a total of 273 people. In this, the support of INS Kochi and INS Kolkata war boat with other support vessels is being taken to rescue the trapped people. So far 177 people have been rescued out of the stranded people in P305. INS Kolkata and INS Kochi have rescued 111 people so far, while offshore support vessel (OSV) Greatship Ahilya has rescued 17 and OSV Ocean Energy 18.

137 people stranded in Barge Gal Constructor

Barge Gal Constructor: There were 137 people on board. The towing vessel Water Lilly, 2 support vessel and CGS Samrat are engaged to rescue the stranded people. Naval P8I surveillance aircraft and Indian Navy helicopters are also being sought.

The work of saving 101 people continues

Oil rig Sagar Bhushan: A total of 101 people are stranded on it and INS Talwar has left to rescue them.

196 people aboard the barge SS-3

Barge SS-3: It has 196 people on board and is presently 50 NM south-east of Pipavav Port. With the help of the Navy's P81 surveillance aircraft and helicopters will be taken for rescue and rescue of the SAR operation as soon as the weather is clear.
