A portion of a foot over bridge collapsed in Maharashtra's Chandrapur. There is news of many people injured in the accident. The accident happened at Ballarshah railway station. According to information, a portion of the foot overbridge at Ballarshah railway station in Chandrapur district in Maharashtra collapsed. The height of the bridge is said to be about 60 feet. Many people were present on it at the time of the accident. At the time of the accident, people fell on the railway tracks from a height of 60 feet. Relief and rescue work is going on.


Central Railway's CPRO Shivaji Sutar said that the pre-cast slab part of the foot over bridge at Balharshah in Nagpur division collapsed at around 5.10 pm on Sunday. Four people have been injured in the incident. All were sent to Civil Hospital after first aid. There is no information about any casualty.


According to the CPRO, the Railways has announced an ex-gratia of Rs one lakh to the seriously injured and Rs 50,000 to the moderately injured. The injured people are being referred to other hospitals for better treatment. All are being given better medical treatment.
