Last month, the delivery of a woman from Mali, West Africa, became a topic of discussion around the world. This 25-year-old woman named Halima gave birth to nine children at once. Due to some problem in delivery, special arrangements were made by the government there to get the woman treated in Morocco. The condition of the children also remained critical after birth. However, now the news is that the health of all these children has improved a lot. However, these 9 children are still admitted in the hospital.

The Moroccan hospital told AFP news agency that the nine babies a Malian woman gave birth to on May 4 are doing well but need to be kept under observation for another two months.

Abdelkoddas Hafsi, spokesman for the Ain Borja clinic, said these nine children are now breathing without any medical equipment. He has recovered from the difficulty in breathing.

Hafsi said that the children are being given milk through tubes and their weight has now increased between 800 grams and 1.4 kg. Of these 9 children, five are girls and four are boys. The children's mother is staying with them.

"It will take another one-and-a-half to two months for these children to start life without any medical aid," Hafsi said. This delivery was done through an operation by a medical team of 10 doctors and 25 nurses.

On March 30, the government of Mali sent Halima to Morocco for better care. Initially, the ultrasound report revealed that Halima had seven children in her stomach, but at the time of delivery, the doctors came to know that these were not seven but nine children.

The cases of women successfully delivering seven children are very rare and the case of having nine children together safely is even rarer.

Earlier, a woman from America had created a world record by giving birth to 8 live children simultaneously. This woman named Nadya Suleman made this record in 2009 at the age of 33.
