Gaganyaan Mission: The names of the four astronauts to be sent for the Gaganyaan Space Mission have been announced by PM Modi. Their names are Group Captain Prashant Balakrishnan Nair, Group Captain Ajit Krishnan, Group Captain Angad Pratap and Wing Commander Shubhanshu Shukla. Announcing the names, he said that these are not just four names, but four powers that will take the aspirations of 140 crore Indians to space. This is the first time after 40 years that an Indian will get a chance to go to space. Earlier in 1984, Rakesh Sharma had gone to space. In such a situation, the question is why there are no women in the team of astronauts of Gaganyaan Mission.

Why no female astronauts?

The four astronauts who were selected for this mission were selected four years ago. He is a test pilot. 12 people were selected after passing various types of tests including clinical and aeromedical, but after the final round of testing, 4 test pilots were selected. According to the report of NDTV, at the time when test pilots were selected 4 years ago, women were not test pilots.

Test pilots are highly skilled aviators known for their specialized skills. During an emergency, he remains calm and remains on mission. They are called the best air warriors.

Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) chief S Somnath says that he would be happy to send women astronauts for space missions in the future. He said, India will need mission experts. Women can be included in the same role, but the first few missions of Gaganyaan will be sent to the crew who have been selected and trained.

Director of Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Dr. S. Unnikrishnan Nair says, the possibility of including women in the Gaganyaan mission to be launched in 2025 still remains. Women can be included in ISRO's next mission. NASA-ISRO's manned space missions are in line for the International Space Station by the end of this year. In this, one of the skilled female fighter pilots of the Indian Air Force can be given a chance.

What is Gaganyaan Mission?

Gaganyaan is India's first human space flight mission. Through this mission, astronauts will be sent to low Earth orbit at an altitude of 400 kilometers and brought back. Astronauts will revolve in lower orbit. This mission will be launched in 2025. A test flight has been sent for this mission which has been successful.

In the next phase of testing, humanoid robot will be sent to Vyommitra, through this an attempt will be made to understand how safe it is to send humans there.

If India succeeds in this mission, it will become the fourth country to send humans into space. Before this, Russia, America and China have achieved success by sending humans into space.
