Operation Kaveri / 500 Indians reached the port of Sudan, the rest are also deployed to bring aircraft

Operation Kaveri: The Government of India and the Indian Army are in action to bring back the Indians trapped in violence-hit Sudan safely to India. Foreign Minister S Jaishankar has tweeted that the government is running Operation Kaveri to bring back the citizens. About 500 Indian citizens have reached the port of Sudan, while many are on the way. He said that Indian Air Force aircraft and Navy ships are ready to bring the citizens back to the country.

S Jaishankar has posted two pictures of Indian citizens stranded in Sudan on Twitter. In these pictures, Indian citizens are seen carrying the flag of India. The Foreign Minister said that the government is committed to help all our brothers in Sudan.

Government of India ready for emergency situation as well

Let us tell you that the Ministry of External Affairs had informed yesterday that two Indian Air Force aircraft had already been deployed in Jeddah and INS Sumedha at the port of Sudan. If any emergency situation has to be faced to evacuate Indians from Sudan, then the Government of India is ready for that also, because the planning has already been made.

France evacuated 388 people including India last night

Significantly, late last night, France has evacuated 388 people from 28 countries, including citizens of France and India, from Sudan. The Embassy of France gave this information through Twitter. France used the air route to evacuate the citizens. However, no information has been revealed about how many citizens of India have been taken out by France.
