According to the General Budget 2023-24, this year's defense budget will be Rs 5.94 crore. Please tell that in 2022-23 the defense budget was 5.25 lakh crores. That is, this year there has been an increase of 12.9 percent. In this, a total of Rs 1.62 crore has been set aside for capital expenditure. This includes the purchase of goods like new weapons, aircraft, warships.

Please tell that this time India's defense budget is Rs 5.94 crore. That is, an increase of about 69 thousand crore rupees has been made. It is known that our borders are with many countries. In such a situation, there is also a great need to focus on security.

7 countries share borders with India

Close to India are countries like China, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran. Our borders meet with 7 countries. Whereas China's border is surrounded by 17 countries and Pakistan is surrounded by 4 countries. Because of this the defense budget here is good. However, there is no clear information about the budget of Taliban-ruled Afghanistan. It is said that the defense budget of the previous government in Afghanistan was around 405 crores. At the same time, the previous defense budget of China was about 19 crores and that of Pakistan was about 61 crores.

How much is the defense budget of China and Pakistan compared to India?

According to a report, the defense budget of Pakistan in 2022-23 is about Rs 46 thousand 689 crore according to the currency of India. In such a situation, India's defense budget is about 13 times more than that of Pakistan. On the other hand, if we talk about China, then last year their budget was about 18 lakh 77 thousand crore rupees in Indian currency. In such a situation, China's defense budget is three times more than that of India. Although India has increased its budget by 12.95 percent this time, while China had increased its defense budget by about 7.1 percent.
