It was the second highest grossing film of the year 2000 and became a cult classic."

Ameesha further said, "Yes, I am seeing this comparison, which was being made by social media and PR teams even before the release of the film. I am happy that at least a film has come which is being compared to a cult classic like 'Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai'."
