The country feels that the corona epidemic will get rid of it soon. On Saturday, 3614 new cases of Kovid infection were found in the country. This is the record for the lowest number of cases in a single day in the last two years from being the lowest since May 12, 2020.

According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry on Saturday morning, the number of active cases has also decreased further in the last 24 hours. Now there are 40,559 active cases left in the country. However, the total number of infected increased to 4,29,87,875. According to the data updated by the ministry at 8 am on Saturday, 89 people died due to the epidemic in the last 24 hours. Due to this, the death toll from Corona in the country has so far increased to 5,15,803.

In comparison to the total case load in the country, active cases are now only 0.09 percent. At the same time, the recovery rate from Kovid has also improved further to 98.71 percent. In the last 24 hours, the number of active cases has come down by 1660. The number of daily infected has been recorded the lowest since 12 May 2020. On that day, 3604 cases were found in the country, while 3614 were registered on Saturday.

The total number of people who beat Corona has increased to 4,24,31,513, while the death rate of Kovid is 1.2 percent. The daily positivity rate was recorded at 0.44 per cent, while the weekly positivity rate stood at 0.52 per cent.

So far, a total of 77.77 crore tests have been done in the country, so that corona infection can be detected. In the last 24 hours, 8,21,122 corona tests were done. Similarly, so far 179.91 crore doses of vaccines have been applied in the country to protect against corona.

Highest number of deaths in maharashtra

A total of 89 deaths occurred in the last 24 hours ending Saturday morning, out of which 73 were in Kerala. The total number of deaths in the country is 5,15,803. Out of this, maximum 1,43,750 were in Maharashtra, 66,762 in Kerala, 40,016 in Karnataka, 38,023 in Tamil Nadu, 26,140 in Delhi, 23,490 in UP and 21,186 in West Bengal.
