Air India Express: An engine of Air India Express flight going from Abu Dhabi to Calicut caught fire. After this the flight was landed back at Abu Dhabi Airport. The aircraft has been safely landed with all the passengers on board. This information has been given by Air India Express. At the same time, DGCA has also confirmed the incident.

The DGCA issued a statement saying that Air India Express's B737-800 VT-AYC operating flight IX 348 (Abu Dhabi-Calicut) caught fire in engine number one during takeoff. At that time the aircraft was at an altitude of 1000 feet. After this the aircraft was safely landed in Abu Dhabi.
