Akhilesh Yadav Claims No Future Elections If BJP Wins UP Assembly Polls

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav warned that a BJP victory in the upcoming UP assembly elections could end future democratic processes. He also raised concerns over alleged financial irregularities in Ram Temple donations, demanding transparency and a thorough investigation into the SIT report.

Samajwadi Party National President Akhilesh Yadav has launched a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), making a sensational claim regarding the future of democracy in Uttar Pradesh. Speaking to journalists in Azamgarh, the former Chief Minister asserted that if the BJP manages to secure a victory in the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, there might be no elections held in the future, while he emphasized that his statement wasn't intended to spread fear but was a serious observation based on political trends. Yadav cited the example of the Bengal elections to illustrate how the BJP operates during polls, suggesting that the democratic fabric is under threat.

The Warning Against BJP Victory

During his interaction, Akhilesh Yadav reiterated his stance that the upcoming state elections are a turning point for Uttar Pradesh, while he stated that the people of the state have already made up their minds to bring about a change in power. According to him, the BJP will have to provide an account of its long tenure, and the public is ready to evaluate the government's performance on critical issues such as employment, reservation, and overall development. He remarked that the BJP must answer for its governance in the very state from where it began its significant political journey toward national dominance.

PDA Agenda and Social Justice

The Samajwadi Party chief highlighted that his party is reaching out to the masses with the 'PDA' (Pichhda, Dalit, Alpsankhyak) formula and a strong agenda for social justice. He expressed commitment to leading the state toward prosperity and ensuring that the rights of the marginalized sections are protected. Yadav claimed that the current administration has failed to address the core concerns of the youth and the working class, and the upcoming elections will serve as a platform for the people to voice their discontent against the ruling party's policies.

Allegations Over Ram Temple Donations

Shifting his focus to religious and financial matters, Akhilesh Yadav raised serious questions regarding the alleged embezzlement of offerings at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. He noted that Ayodhya is a center of faith for millions of people, and any reports of financial misconduct are deeply concerning. He pointed out that the government had to constitute a Special Investigation Team (SIT) following the emergence of information regarding the alleged theft of donations. Yadav questioned the transparency of the process, asking to whom the SIT report was submitted and what specific actions were taken based on its findings. He described the incident as highly condemnable, stating that it has caused widespread outrage across the country.

Dimple Yadav Questions SIT Investigation

Joining the critique, Dimple Yadav, the Samajwadi Party MP from Mainpuri, also raised doubts about the SIT investigation into the Ram Temple donation case. Expressing a lack of confidence in the current probe, she alleged that the embezzlement of donations wasn't a recent occurrence but had been going on for several years. She claimed that following the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, a massive number of devotees had offered donations, and there have been significant financial irregularities over a long period. Dimple Yadav emphasized that it's difficult to even estimate the actual amount of the alleged embezzlement.

Demand for Independent Inquiry

The Mainpuri MP further argued that given the previous allegations of irregularities in land deals in Ayodhya, the current SIT probe is insufficient, while she called for a more comprehensive and independent investigation into the matter to ensure full transparency. According to her, the scale of the alleged financial mismanagement requires a deeper look than what the SIT has provided so far, while the Samajwadi Party leaders maintained that the integrity of the donations made by millions of faithful devotees must be upheld and those responsible for any theft or gaban must be held accountable before the public.
