Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a scathing attack on Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav during the tenth Deepotsav event in Ayodhya, stating that today's Ayodhya brings back memories of the Treta Yuga and appears fully vibrant, while he emphasized that Lord Ram is India's self-respect and Ayodhya Dham has finally regained the glory for which Karsevaks and saints made supreme sacrifices. Highlighting the past, he remarked that there was a time in Ayodhya when devotees of Lord Ram faced bullets, lathi charges, and severe atrocities.
Taking a jibe at Akhilesh Yadav, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that when such individuals attend religious discourses, they don't understand the decorum of the discourse and mistake it for a Mushaira. He noted that earlier restrictions were imposed in Ayodhya where nobody was allowed to come or chant Jai Shri Ram. Today, those same people who once stood a army of lawyers against Lord Ram are now accepting his existence, which is also a major achievement. He criticized that religious discourses have their own sanctity and pure traditions, but due to chaotic mentalities, attempts are made to disrespect the purity of Ram's sanctity by bringing it into the realm of a Mushaira.
Continuing his sharp attack, Chief Minister Yogi said that those who neglected, humiliated, fired upon Ram devotees, and insulted saints by unleashing lathi charges should definitely come to Ayodhya, but they must come by apologizing, while he urged them to ask for forgiveness from Ram devotees and saints once, and repent for their past actions. Praising the benevolence of Lord Rama, the Chief Minister added that the Lord is extremely compassionate and forgiving to everyone, but it takes Him not even a moment to destroy arrogant power. If anyone becomes arrogant, God takes no time in crushing their pride and ego.
This strong statement from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath came following the announcement of Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav's scheduled visit to the Ayodhya Ram Mandir, while according to the announcement, Akhilesh Yadav will visit Ayodhya on December 12, where he will offer prayers at Hanumangarhi and have darshan of Lord Ram at the Ram Temple.
Highlighting the monumental developmental achievements of Ayodhya, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that earlier it was impossible to imagine an airport in Ayodhya, but today a magnificent international airport named after Maharishi Valmiki stands proudly in Ayodhya. The grand Deepotsav celebration witnessed massive participation, showcasing the rapid cultural and infrastructural transformation of the holy city under the current administration.
