Jaipur: The country is facing the threat of cyclone Tauktae being built in the Arabian Sea. According to the Meteorological Department, the storm has hit the coastal region of Goa. In such a situation, the Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in several districts of Udaipur and Jodhpur divisions of Rajasthan on Tuesday due to the impact of cyclonic storm 'Taukate' in the Arabian Sea on Sunday.

More impact of cyclone in Rajasthan on May 18 and 19:

Director of Jaipur Meteorological Center Radheshyam Sharma said on Sunday that the maximum impact of this cyclone will be on 18 and 19 May in Rajasthan and during this period one to two districts of Udaipur division may receive 200 mm of rain. He said that due to this cyclone, on the one hand where there will be rain, the temperature can also fall by four to five degrees Celsius.

Possibility of strong winds at 50 to 60 km / h:

He said that during this time, there may be strong thunderstorms and strong winds at a speed of 50 to 60 kilometers per hour. On May 19, the effect of this cyclone will be seen in the districts of Ajmer, Jaipur, Bharatpur, Kota division, due to which there is expected to be moderate to heavy rains in some places with thunderstorms. He said that the department has issued a red alert in some districts of Udaipur division on May 18, while an orange alert has been issued for some districts during May 18 and 19.

On May 19, the impact of the cyclone will be in the North Eastern regions:

He said that on Monday, there is a possibility of moderate to heavy rains in the areas around Pali, Bhilwara and Udaipur in the south west region of Rajasthan, whereas on May 19, the effect of this cyclone will be in the north eastern areas and Jaipur, Bharatpur division There may be heavy rains especially in some areas. According to meteorological department data, 11 mm of rain was recorded in Dabok (in Udaipur), eight mm in Alwar and 0.6 mm in Kota from Sunday morning to evening.

Maximum temperature recorded in Pali and Phalodi on Sunday:

According to the department, the maximum temperature was recorded at 43.4 degrees Celsius in Pali and Phalodi on Sunday and remained the hottest place. Mercury in Barmer was 43.3 ° C, Bikaner and Karauli 41.7 ° C, Dhaulpur 41.6 ° C, Jodhpur 41.3 ° C and Sriganganagar 41 ° C, while other major places recorded temperatures ranging from 40.9 ° C to 37.8 ° C.
