Court reserves order on accused's bail pleas

Earlier today, a special Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) court reserved an order on bail applications of Khan, Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha, who were nabbed by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) following a raid at a cruise party held off Mumbai coast on October 2.

The NCB told the court that the accused were involved in "illicit drug trafficking, procuring and distribution of contraband", which is illegal under the NDPS Act. After hearing arguments made by the accused's lawyers and the NCB, the court reserved its order on the bail applications and set October 20 as the date for the next hearing in the matter.

Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant, Munmun Dhamecha, Vikrant Chhoker, Nupur Sarika, Ismeet Singh, Mohak Jaswal and Gomit Chopra were arrested from the cruise party during a raid. The NCB also seized cocaine, Mephedrone (MD), MDMA and charas from the cruise.
